HIV vaccine evolution: Retrospective chronicle of modern avenue

Author(s): Ashish S Ramteke

Abstract: The creation of a successful HIV vaccine has long been a priority for international health community. However, concerns about HIV biology and vaccination efficacy testing hamper the development of biological preventative medications. The conclusive findings from previous effectiveness studies reveal unresolved issues and assess potential vaccine development approaches that fill these gaps. We examined the clinical evaluations database of the US National Library of Medicine for new clinical investigations, including HIV vaccinations. The HIV vaccine sector has produced many vaccine platforms through advanced clinical research. Scientists have developed innovative vaccine design strategies by drawing lessons from past successes and setbacks. These initiatives have produced innovative mosaic antigen structures that are presently being evaluated for effectiveness. The field is moving closer to a globally effective HIV vaccine mainly to the diverse pipeline of preliminary immunogens and innovative adjuvants.
