Escalating yaba addiction and its link to crystal meth-related violence in society

Abstract: The aim of this research is to highlight the potential destructive capabilities of Yaba and Meth on modern society. Bangladesh has been struggling with drug abuse and there are lots of drugs that are commonly consumed throughout the country along with Yaba and Meth-related drugs. The research will also cover some case-studies that highlights the potential dangers of Yaba and the degree of its availability around the country and its origin. Upon analysis of data available during the time of this study, the conclusions and discussions could help people better understand the lethality and long-term dangers of Yaba and Meth-Related drugs. It is important to highlight that the study aims to not only figure out the degree of violence caused, but also how the drugs are supplied and managed. Some recommendations regarding on what the society and individuals can do to decrease Yaba and similar drug usage has also been included in this study. The research hopes to contribute to the understanding of drug-violence and what steps could be taken to minimize its impact on people; especially the youth. Research further showed that the violence was not only physical, but also impacted interpersonal habits, academics and unpredictable behaviors in users.
